In this video I talk about the first movement of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with an emphasis on vibrato and how to use it to build a phrase. I also talk about how I work on the virtuosic passages in this movement. These techniques can be applied to other pieces of course.
For those of you that want to dig further, you can buy a facsimile of the orchestral manuscript here.
I highly recommend using this metronome to tune the tricky double stop passages that I talked about.
Thanks for watching!!
