Excerpts from Dan Visconti’s Cello Concerto “Tangle Eye”

This week, I wanted to share two short excerpts from Dan Visconti’s new cello concerto “Tangle Eye,” which I am premiering with conductor Donato Cabrera and the California Symphony on Sunday, May 7, 2017.

Dan Visconti was commissioned as California Symphony’s Young American Composer-in-Residence to write this work for me. He describes it as “a true concerto in the traditional melodic and virtuosic sense.”

I hope that you will enjoy these excerpts, and that those of you in the Bay Area can join us at the Lesher Arts Center for the world premiere on May 7! More details here
